3 Running homebrew software

After having checked the hardware we're ready to put software on the SD card and get some stuff running.

Homebrew software
First thing to try is running homebrew (software made by hobbyists) DS software. To do this you can download Metro-Paris v1.0 here. It's a map of the Paris underground system.
To test it unzip it and put metro-paris.sc.nds on your SD card. Put the SD card in your supercard, be sure that the superkey is in and power on your DS. When the supercard menu pops up select metro-paris.sc.nds and press A. Below are pictures of the 2 steps:

Now that has been tested you can also try and run GameBoy Advance homebrew software. Just go to www.gbadev.org and download one of those fabulous games!

Commercial software
There are also ways of running commercial software (copied games) from your Supercard. Of course this it is illegal to copy commercial software! But still I would like to describe how to do this using the Supercard.

First you must be sure that you download the latest rompatcher and latest Supercard firmware from Supercard website. Then copy the firmware (.bin file) to your SD card, insert it in the DS and start the bin file. This will flash your Supercard. NOTICE: there is always the risk in flashing firmware of a device. It could make the device completely useless and not repairable!. If you don't want to flash your Supercard you can try to find the Supercard rompatcher that matches the current version of your Supercard's firmware.
The manufacturer of the supercard has a fast manual which is quite clear to follow.
